Ship Docking & Rezing Rules
Prim Limit: 32 Auto Return: 24 Hours
Small craft, shuttles and other slip capable craft are authorized to dock aboard the station at the discretion of space traffic control. Before docking craft are routinely scanned using the stations active scanning array at close range. Craft not registered with the station undergo a more though scan than those that are. The scans, standard throughout most of the Deep Rim, identify dangerous cargo or conditions aboard that would make the vessel a hazard in the landing bay.
The landing bay is also heavily armored, shielding and reinforced to prevent accidents or incidents aboard docked vessels to cause catastrophic damage to the station. The docking bay is equipped with an array of safety equipment to deal with such contingencies.
The limitations of slip travel limit the size and mass of vessels that dock at the station. Current technology limits slip capable vessels to 100 meters in size and 450 metric tons gross weight (craft and cargo)
Once aboard, ships should be parked in one of the four public docking bays in the landing bay. Leave the approach and departure lanes clear for traffic.
Examples of ships:
Firefly class transport: 374’8” long 204’ 2” wide 350,000lbs empty, 865,000 Maximum weight, 325,000 lbs. (147 MT) Max Payload
YT-1300 Transport (Millennium Falcon): 34.75 Meters long, 25.61 meters wide (no weight given) Cargo 100 metric tons
Our ship size rules are in place to both support our prim rez limitations, and to prevent the occurrence of ‘fleets of star destroyers’ showing up daily. This way we can rez what your rping aboard! Due to prim limitations ship rezing is limited to ships under 32 prims. This is the Physics flight limit in SL and there are many different ships to choose from at or near this limit. We don’t care how ‘small’ your wonderful 250 prim ship is, if it’s over 32 prims, you’ll have to find another sim to rez it in.
Please park your ship in such a way as to not waste space aboard. If you become a space hog, your vessel may be returned to you.
